We want to say a big THANK YOU to SocialPakt for including our rescue in their German Shepherd Adoption awareness campaign. They helped us raise much needed money that will be used to pay for veterinary care and supplies for our foster dogs.

We have some very exciting news! Starting Wednesday, January 15, 2013, SocialPakt, a clothing company that creates apparel in support of animal rescues, will be selling this limited edition design in support of our German Shepherds!

This sweet young girl was sick coming out of the shelter. We brought her to the vet for a check up and had tests run because we feared she had distemper. She then went back to her foster home where she rested comfortably the rest of the day. Unfortunately, this morning, her condition escalated when she ran a high fever so we immediately brought her back to the vet.

Magen, one of the volunteers at the San Bernardino City Animal Shelter, recently sent out a request to the shelter’s friends and supporters for help in purchasing new web cams so they can take better photos of their shelter animals.

Lacey, our sweetheart of a girl, had to have emergency surgery Monday afternoon to remove a tumor. She had shown no symptoms of any problems until Sunday when she kept getting sick and just wanted to rest in her crate. We took her to the vet first thing Monday morning to get checked out and after doing x-rays, running tests to check for infections and doing an ultrasound, we found out what was wrong.

We held our first annual Family Picnic on July 29, 2012. We were so happy to see many of our adoptive families and volunteers come out and spend the day with us.

This year’s Pet Expo was a great success for us! Many people came by to meet our dogs and we got a lot of compliments on the dogs, our wonderful volunteers and our booth.

The Orange County Pet Expo is just a little over 2 weeks away! It is a three day event held at the Orange County Fairgrounds. We will be there with our dogs so stop by our booth (Booth #1553) and say hi!

We are excited to introduce PAWS, our newest fundraising program! There is a variety of wonderful merchandise available for purchase through this program.

Saddleback Pharmacy in Mission Viejo will donate $.50 to our rescue for each prescription filled.

Hey, look at us, the twins! Well okay not quite but anyway it’s like we are, we started our brand new lives with German Shepherd Safe Haven on the same day. I am Ollie and that’s my buddy Newman.

We had a great adoption event at Dogtoberfest and met some potential adoptive families that spent a lot of time hanging out with our dogs.

Hi, I am Daisy or Miss Daisy to my foster brothers and sisters. When I was rescued from the shelter, I was really sick and underweight but my foster dad has done an awesome job of getting me back on track.

We had a great time at the Pet Super Adoption event at the Irvine Animal Care Center today. Our dogs were friendly and playful and enjoyed meeting potential adopters.
