Bree’s Family

Healthy, happy and in my forever home!

Hi, it’s Bree! My old owners dropped me off at the shelter but I wasn’t sure why. I’m just a young pup and the shelter was not a good place for me to be. After I was rescued by GSSH, I got really sick. My immune system was not doing so good from being at the shelter and it just got worse after I was spayed. It’s a good thing I was rescued when I was because I may not be here otherwise! Once I got sick, my foster dad quickly took me to the vet and they took good care of me. With some TLC from them and my foster dad, I was feeling better in a few days. Eventually, I made a full recovery so I finally got a chance to play with all my foster brothers and sister. It is so fun being able to just be a puppy. I learned all about playing with balls, toys and figured out the stairs pretty fast. Alright, I’ll admit, I did fall down a couple times while trying to get the hang of it but I got pretty good at it. I also learned to walk on a leash and was getting good at jogging too. I figured out I had to keep paying attention to the person I was with and take their lead and all would be good.

The first (and lucky for me, the only!) adoption event I went to was a good one. Why? Because that is where I first met my forever family! A lot of people stopped by to visit me and my foster brothers and sisters and I loved saying hi to everyone. I’ve been told I’ve got quite a personality! I agree! Anyway, this family came by during the event specifically to meet all of us and they fell in love with me. I really worked it though, giving them kisses and cuddles, how could they not love me? After seeing me, they went home and filled out an adoption application for me. Yay! I got to see them again when we did a personal meet & greet the next day. That pretty much sealed the deal with them, they definitely wanted to adopt me! My foster dad did the home visit which turned out good so my adoption day was set for the next weekend. How exciting!

My adoption day finally came and while we were on our way to my forever home, my foster dad rolled down the window for me so I could stick my head out and enjoy all the smells and fresh air. It was a great start to a day that was only going to get better! When we arrived, my new dad and sister were outside waiting for us. I was so excited and just couldn’t believe how lucky I was to find my forever home so quickly after being left at the shelter. They walked me into my new home and I saw my new mom again and also met grandma who was really nice. I checked out the house, the backyard, and my brand new crate, I loved exploring! I found a couple tennis balls so my dad and sister played ball with me while my mom completed all the adoption paperwork. And just like that, I became a part of their family! We all went outside to the park behind the house to take family photos and wow is that park cool! I couldn’t wait to take walks, play and meet new friends there! I have so much to look forward to in my new home!
