Zoey’s Family

From the streets of Los Angeles to a wonderful forever home

Hi, remember me? Zoey, the puppy that was found on a street in Los Angeles. A really nice lady went door to door trying to find my home but didn’t have any luck so she contacted GSSH to see if they would take me and they said yes! The woman had posted flyers with my picture and no one claimed me in 30 days so I was officially part of the GSSH family. I went directly to Mommy Jill’s and Daddy Reid’s home and they are the best foster parents! They have two dogs, Lucky and Lucy, and I got to play with them all day, everyday. They have gophers in their yard and I caught one and brought it to Mommy Jill and she was not thrilled about that one but I am a puppy and love to catch things. I love to play with toys and usually only chew on those but sometimes I get excited and chew on stuff I shouldn’t, the good news is I have never done any damage to anything that isn’t a toy.

Anyway, we went up to the mountains for Christmas and I got to stay at the cabin and play in the snow. Boy was that fun, I love the snow! I got to go see the lake and was carried everywhere, it was so cool but it was cold in the mountains. Peyton, my human brother, taught me how to play fetch in the snow, he is so much fun and I learned a lot from him at the cabin. After the cabin, we went on a camping trip and that was a lot of fun too because we were with a lot of other friends. We camped in the desert so I got to dig in the dirt and play hard with my brother and sister. I got to play a lot but I also got to hang out with my foster family and they always kept me busy. Fun had to be postponed though when I had to go to the vet to get spayed. I was not very happy and a little sore but after a few days, I couldn’t wait to play again but I had to stay in my crate to make sure I was 100% healed before I could be active again. I was a good girl in my crate and when I was allowed to play again, I was so happy, I have so much fun playing with Lucky and Lucy.

In the meantime, I did get a couple applications on me but they just were not the right fit for my personality. Finally we got one from a family out of state that seemed to be a good fit. Daddy Tom talked to them several times and checked everything out to make sure it was all good and it was. So the family planned a trip here to meet me and pick me up. My foster mommy and daddy were very sad to see me leave and I was sad too but it was time for me to start bonding with my new forever family so they knew it was time to let me go. Mommy Jill loaded me up in the car and we headed over to the park where we were going to meet my new family. We got there and met them and they seemed really nice and they loved me! So they filled out the paperwork and I was officially adopted! I got in their car and my foster mommy gave me a big hug and told me to be a good girl. Everyone said good bye and we got on the road back home. I am so happy that I found my forever home with a family that loves me so much!
