I Scored With My Forever Family!

Hi, my name is Zach, the dog that wandered into a church in Tehachapi with my brother, Yukon. We were both taken in by a nice man and he tried to find our old owners but no one came forward to claim us. He tried to keep us but me and my brother were way too much for him to handle so he reached out to people to see if someone would take us both. One day, we took an hour long road trip with him and arrived at an animal hospital where we met Aunt Kelly and our future foster daddy, Tom. He decided to take both of us into the rescue and I was so happy because I knew we would be safe and not have to wander the streets anymore. The drive to our foster home took a long time but when we finally got there, we were introduced to a few dogs and it was so much fun because we played with them and also got to play with the all the toys too! As much fun as we had, we also realized that there was a schedule we had to get used to and things we had to learn about being in a house like going potty outside. But the other foster dogs taught us a lot about the house rules and if we just followed the rest of the pack, we would do good.

When I was ready to find my forever home, I started going to adoption events. At one of the events, I met a really nice lady and she was really interested in getting to know me. She ended up filling out a foster application and we had a meet and greet at their home because they have a special situation. When I was there, I thought they were such a nice family, it was like I just fit right in and everyone was so good to me. Because I would be their first family dog, they decided to do a couple of play dates with me to see how I would do. I was always on my best behavior and I really had lots of fun when I was there. Eventually I went over there every day and after a week of me visiting daily, they decided to foster to adopt me! I was pretty excited but knew I had to continue to be on my best behavior to make sure they would become my forever family. I have to admit, they spoiled me right from the beginning and I was treated like a prince! I had a human sister that would play with me everyday and a mom that would be so patient and hand feed me if I did not eat my food. What more could I ask for?? They are so amazing to me and I knew I scored when they welcomed me into their family! When my foster mom decided it was time to make it official and finalize the adoption, she called my old foster dad to let him know. I was like oh my god, they picked me, they actually picked me! Oh my, wow, this is going to be my forever home!! Really, on my gosh, I was so excited!! I better go squeak my toys to celebrate! Yeah!!! So my old foster dad came over for dinner with my new family and my adoption was finalized. I feel like the luckiest dog ever that I found my forever home and they will love me forever!
