The Handsome Boy finally finds his best forever buddy!

Hi, it’s me, Quincy, the handsome long haired boy. Well, it all started when Aunt Kelly pulled me out of the shelter when my old owners did not want me anymore. I was so thankful that she found me. We had some problems in the beginning because of my neuter surgery that took place at the shelter. It was touch and go and we weren’t sure if I was going to make it but with Aunt Kelly taking such great care of me, I ended up being just fine. I stayed with her for a few months and really got attached to her because she gave me a lot of love that I never got from my old owners.

One day, my new foster dad came to pick me up from Aunt Kelly’s to take me to stay with Aunt Tricia and boy was I in for fun! Aunt Tricia had three other dogs and they were so much fun to play with. She had a big house and yard with a pool so I had a lot of room to roam. I went to a couple adoption events and I was always the star of the event. I am an easygoing big teddy bear and people just love to give me loves. There were a couple applications for me and I did meet and greets with families but it never seemed to work out because they were just not the right fit for me. But that was okay with me because I was treated like a king at Aunt Tricia’s. I got to swim in the pool, play with the other dogs and got so much love. Soon, though, I started hoping it would be my turn to find my own special forever family. More meet and greets were scheduled for me so I went to stay at my foster dad’s house so he could take me to the meetings. With each meet & greet, I was hoping that it would be the one. Finally, it was! We met this nice man at the park and he petted me and gave me lots of love. I was thinking this is going really well and I hope it works out because he is my type of guy. Laid back and easy going just like me. My foster dad and mom talked to him about me and suggested he foster to adopt me just to be sure we were the right fit for each other. He agreed and I was like Yes!! Now all I needed to do was turn on my charm and personality and impress this man and he’ll adopt me!

So that Saturday, my foster dad and mom took me to my new foster home. We got to the house and I was thinking, wow, just me and my new foster dad are going to live in this big house. Cool! I walk in the door and go into the tv room and guess what I see? My foster dad had bought me a nice, big, plush bed! I had a good feeling this was going to work out. My foster dad lets me lay on the couch if I want so the first day with him, I hung out on the couch and watched the football game with him. I would really get used to this kind of life! My foster dad and I took walks through this really nice park down the street from the house and I get to meet other dogs in the neighborhood. We had a really great two weeks together and one day, my foster dad made the call to schedule a day to finalize my adoption. I thought I finally found my forever home! I was so happy, I couldn’t stand it!! I was so excited for Sunday. That’s when my old foster dad, mom and favorite volunteer, Taryn, came over to do the adoption paperwork. It was so good to see everyone, these people were the ones that saved my life and found me this awesome home. My new dad signed the adoption agreement and we had our first family photo taken, just me & my new dad. It was so cool! I strutted down the street and thought, this is my new forever neighborhood and park. It may have took some time to find my forever home but it was worth the wait! I love my new daddy and I know he feels the same about me!
