Mommy & Me

Hey, remember me? Madison! I was rescued from the shelter by my foster dad and life has been awesome since that day. I was having so much fun in my foster home playing with my foster brothers and sisters. I really learned a lot from them on how to play and what being in a pack was all about. One day, I went on a long car ride to meet a lady that wanted to foster me. When I got to her house, she let me explore every room in house and I even played for a little bit in the backyard. We visited for about an hour and I think the nice lady really liked me so she asked if my foster dad can bring me down again next week so she had time to get her house ready for me. I was excited because that meant that I might be adopted soon because a lot of times, fostering turns into adopting. I couldn’t wait till next weekend, it felt like it took forever to come. But finally it was here! My foster dad brought me back to the lady’s house and she had everything all ready for me. My new foster mom bought me a crate and a nice cushioned bed. And I had so many toys to play with and they were all mine! But the best thing of all was that I was going to be in a home with just me and my foster mom. After I got used to my new home, I realized how much my foster mom loves me. She is always thinking of how she can make things good for me. She got a dog door installed and bought a run so I could go outside during the day if I want. She also worries about me when she’s at work so sometimes she has someone come over to play with me. I get lots of exercise too because my foster mom takes me on two long walks every day, sometimes we walk by a lake so I see ducks and rabbits on our walks which is cool. Sometimes we see other dogs too. Anyway, I loved living in my foster home so I kept hoping that my foster mom was going to adopt me. Then on Saturday, my old foster dad and mom came to visit which was a really cool surprise. I was excited to see them again and then because I’m a smart girl, I started realizing that this may be the day I’ve been waiting for. Guess what, I was right! My foster mom signed the adoption paperwork and I was officially adopted! Yay! I’ll admit, I am a pretty lucky girl, my mom spoils me like crazy but I love her so much and show her how much every day. My mom is the best!
