Here’s to another great adventure!

Hi, remember me? I’m MacKenzie! I am the dog that was adopted by a great family but my new daddy got pretty sick and could need keep me anymore. I could tell that he was really sick and it was a really hard decision for him but he was thinking about me and what was best for me. I was sad that I would have to leave him but he wanted to make sure I would be taken care of. A nice man came out to visit me to see if I would be a good match for GS Safe Haven. He liked me very much so my old daddy filled out the surrender paperwork so I could join the rescue. After the paperwork was completed, my daddy said goodbye to me and I was off to another adventure.

I arrived at my new foster home and there were quite a few dogs there so I got to play a lot. I stayed at this foster home for a week and then I was off to another foster home. I was only there for a few days when Peyton’s family noticed me and wanted to know more about me. They talked about it and decided they wanted to foster me first to make sure that I would be a good fit with Peyton. So I went to stay at their home and I had so much fun with Peyton. I knew he would be a good older brother and protect me but would also train me to be a great dog. The next couple of weeks went by pretty quickly and my foster parents knew it was time to make a decision about me. They saw how great Peyton and I were together and could not imagine not having me in the family so they called my old foster dad and told him that they wanted to finalize my adoption. He and Aunt Jen came over to do the adoption paperwork while Peyton and I played. I was so happy that I didn’t have to wait long to find my forever family!
