Ginger
Hi! My name is Ginger and I am a spayed female who is just over a year old. The first year of my life was a bit rough because I was a stray and living on the street. I was found with my mother, and now fellow GSSH rescue, Fern. When I was first taken into the rescue I did not understand what was happening, so I was very timid. When you grow up a stray you learn to be a bit skeptical of new things. I have discovered that I do not need to be so scared now, and am making huge improvements and gaining more confidence by the day! I am a pretty smart girl. I am crate and house trained and am in the process of learning: sit, down, and wait. I know how to walk on a leash fairly well; there are still some things I need to learn. But hey, I am used to roaming on my own and am a bit new to this leash thing. It can sometimes be hard for me learning all these new things because I am a bit hesitant to trust humans. Despite this, I aim to please, so if you can be patient with me, I know I can learn all these new commands and be a very good dog. Once I learn that you will be good to me and are someone I can trust, I am a very loving girl. I also love to play! I get along well with other dogs although I can be boisterous and verbal, but it’s all in good fun! I love to play with toys and balls too. There is so much fun to be had! My foster daddy says I am going to be an awesome dog. I just need some guidance to ensure I continue down the right path. Don’t let my shyness dissuade you because I promise once we know each other, you will have a lifelong buddy in me. I will be by your side when you are having a bad day, I will lift your spirits and all I ask in return is all the love and respect that you can offer me.
