Samantha
Hi, my name is Samantha! I also go by Sammie too. I am a 1.5 year old, spayed female. I am about 70 pounds. If you think I look like the sweetest thing since chocolate cake just by my pictures, you are so right! I am a very sweet and loving girl who’s all puppy and plays like there’s no tomorrow. I am crate and house trained. Playing with other dogs is my idea of the best thing ever, which works out great as I’m currently in a home with several other German Shepherds. I love to go for walks and walk pretty good on a leash. I know sit and we’re working on down and stay. I am sure those are things I really need to learn but must we do it now when I just want play and have fun? I also love to play with balls and squeaky toys and chew on white bones.
One thing you have to know about me is that I have something called EPI which is Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. My foster mom tells me that means that my pancreas doesn’t produce the digestive enzymes I need to break down the food that I eat. I really don’t know what all that means, those are some strange sounding words! I just know that my foster mom has to prepare my food for me. She puts kibble in my bowl and then she mixes it up with some powder stuff and lets it sit for awhile. Seems like a very long while that I have to wait for my food especially when I am hungry! But she tells me it’s only a half hour and I have to be patient. Well, it seems like forever!! She says she has to do that every meal time so I can stay healthy. As long as you do that, you don’t have to worry about my EPI, it’s most definitely manageable! But I need a family that understands that and will be committed to managing my condition.
So, if you are up for a cute girl with a puppy personality, then fill out the application. You are going to require some patience and understanding to get me through my puppy stage, but once that’s all behind us, I will make you an awesome dog for the rest of my life!
